Cory Goei

Cory is from West Michigan and began training with the Grand Rapids Ballet at a young age. Through scholarships to companies such as the Joffrey Ballet, Houston Ballet, and the Cleveland/San Jose Ballet, he continued to receive valuable dance training and experiences. In 1997, Cory began his professional career performing with the Dayton Ballet and Ballet Met in Columbus, Ohio. Cory returned to Grand Rapids in 2001 and spent four seasons with the Grand Rapids Ballet. Cory has had extensive teaching experiences through his work with the Ballet Met to develop a boys program, teach within the school, and lead their outreach program. He has also taught for the School of the Grand Rapids Ballet, CARE Conservatory, Turning Pointe, and been a guest teacher for Grand Valley State University and Hope College. Cory has a strong athletic and uniquely energetic style which has made him a remarkable teacher and performer to all those who are introduced to him. Cory currently dances with the James Sewell Ballet, in Minneapolis, MN, and has continued his pursuits in teaching and choreographing.
